Zombie Dust
Medical Findings
Though little is known about the inner workings of zombies as a hive mind organism, that has not stopped necromancers and scientists from plying their craft upon the undead. The process for making zombie dust includes an arcane ritual, bugbear saliva, snake venom, and the burning of a corpse that has been dead for more than a month; many prefer to harvest it the old-fashioned way. Although, zombie sightings are increasingly rare if reports out of Dead Eye Run and Deadlanding are to be believed the undead still reside is the most remote parts of Espen.Historical Findings
Following the Zurge Wars, Zombie Dust has been outlawed in many Dwarven, Elven, and Human Cities; being caught with this substance is punishable by a 500 GP fine and up to 1 yr in jail.Herbalism
Though technically illegal, Zombie Dust does have herbalism applications but is to be used sparingly and with caution.Manufacturing process
Under a full moon, burn a corpse that has been dead for at least a month in a pyre no bigger than 3'x3'. In a separate cauldron, combine equal parts snake venom (standard poisons make a fine substitute), Bugbear or Yeti saliva, and mold. Reduce over low heat until a thick slurry is formed. Once the body has been burned add the ash to the surry and reduce until a powder is formed. Enchant with a prayer from Vigrat the Destroyer's Tome called the Faceless Prayer. The resultant compound will yield enough zombie dust to animate 1 corpse.
