Deadlanding

History:

Deadlanding earned its name and reputation by marooning the first 20 ships that tried to drop anchor. The town was nothing more than a consequence of sailors being stuck there. By the time ships figured out the path that needed to be sailed to drop anchor safely the ships that came before had established a settlement. Deadland Dumping is best known for its collection of unseaworthy vessels. Reclaimed for the nearby archipelago that claims nearly 3 vessels a month they do their level best to patch and repair the boats and resell them. Business is fairly good considering the product, as only the most desperate would buy a boat here, as there is no guarantee of the boat making it to the desired destination though they do offer a money-back guarantee if your vessel doesn't make it to Driftguard.
Dedport is best described as the world's worst dock. On a good day it threatens to collapse, on a bad day, it does.
