The Old Guard

History:

The Cataclysm nearly leveled the town of Blackpool . It was said that could be felt a far away as Alttanes . Molten lava and white hot rock rained down on the quiet village and reduced the number of standing structures from 17 to just 2. One of the two that remained was the Old Guard Lodge. The Old Guard is a stoic group of hunters and rangers whose reach extends from Blackpool to the Bugbear Reach. They usually move in groups of 4 to 5 and track large game and game that travels in packs. Once a powerful political affiliation, their power has waned since the Cataclysm. Their numbers reduced to just 45 active members in the region. But the group still holds a great deal of sway in Everhold City where most of them migrated to after the Cataclysm. Having deep ties to the way of life left behind many of them will still accept an invitation to a hunt.

Current Leaders:

Head Of The Table - Rizzo Chu, an expert forager, and tracker. She was nominated and elected unanimously after her father resigned from the role.
War Chief - Dasia Vog, a lethal combatant and former assassin, Dasia is responsible for negotiating terms within Bugbear reach, defending Blackpool, and if necessary declaring war (though no war chief has done so in 180 years)
Master of Script - Kipper Dixon, is responsible for negotiating trade prices and setting the prices on pelts in the region. The Master of Script also keeps the stable of dire wolves used in hunts.

_{Note - Many have noted how the structure is very similar to Tabaxi's political structure, this is due to the long tradition Tabaxi's being elected to leadership roles given their natural hunting instincts.}
