Itotia Amphitheatre
History:
A legenday Bard in her own right, Itotia Hae quite literally gave her life for this amphitheatre. During the Tabaxi expansion when their role in the world was not yet solidified many Tabaxi saw the Dwaves and Gnomes and yearned for a central leader of the government. That leader was personified in the would-be Tabaxi King know as Avaris-Rex,whose travels and conquest brought him to the gates of Sagen. The king had but one rule, yield to his new Tabaxi monarchy, or be destroyed. Itotia, a bard of some years was elected to act as envoy. At the front gates she negotiated a private audience with the self proclaimed king. Not much is known about what was said in this private meeting, but the result was was Rex agreed to spare the fledling town for one night to attend the night's performance at the town's square. Attend he did, and the star of the show, Itotia gave the performance of her life. The play in question was The Tail of T'saina, a Tabaxi fable in which a mortal entreated the The Old Gods to save the Tabaxi from the destruction of the world. At the end of the play, the hero addresses the Gods, but Itotia addressed Avaris-Rex, saying a world devoid of Tabaxi culture specifically the tribal nature of that culture was a world in which she did not want to live. She pulled a dagger from her side and killed herself. The king was so moved that he spared the town. Reconsidering his own mandate he could no longer continue his mandate, instead he recommitted all of his resources to the presevation of Tabaxi Tribal Culture.
