Balore Tribal Center
History & Lore:
The Old World Reliquary is an ornate dome at the heart of the Tribal Center. It houses many of the Old World Artifacts that have lost their power (and some that haven't) over time all of which still hold a strong cultural significance. The reliquary is commonly a place Tabaxi make pilgrimages to, and despite its humble appearance, many Tabaxi hold not only the reliquary but, the entire tribal center in reverence. The halls leading east and west from the Reliquary head to the Tribal Chief's Chambers and the Xanthil's Academy and Combat Grounds. The Academy is only open to Tabaxi and Genasi and offers specific studies regarding Everore, The Old Gods , Wildtype Magic, and Astrology. The Combat Grounds, now mostly ceremonial, but were once consistently used as sacred lands on which tribal chiefs have been chosen through trials by combat. The forests around the Tribal Center are known as the Ancient Hunting Grounds and are the perfect place for unseasoned hunters to practice and hone their skills in ranged or proximity hunting. Hidden among the ancient redwoods is 1000 acres of land rife with an abundance of wildlife. Lastly, the tribal center holds the combined knowledge and research conducted regarding Everore in the Prim-Opal Research Facility beneath the Tribal Center. Prim-Opal is closely guarded and sealed behind 5 security checkpoints. The greatest scientists of every generation build on the knowledge of those who come before, and add to the understanding of the substance.Tribal Chief:
Managed by tribal chief Hudson Malloy, the Balore Tribal Center focuses on the cultural aspects that set the Tabaxi people apart. Mainly their proficiency in the hunt, understanding of the Old Gods, and mastery of EverOre. A longtime shaman, Malloy, earned the trust of the other regional lords of Evergreen Deep took the mantle of Tribal Chief with near unanimous support. As the Tabaxi are a widely insular population, very little is know about their civil or military leadership, though there is a widely circulated rumor that the individual who is named tribal chief also holds the mantle of Chief of the Dead, and possesses the ability to communicate Tribal Chiefs of the past.
