Gift of Life And Death
Despite the disaster that was The Ascend, Netarr was not satisfied and worked tirelessly in The Underdark in order to perfect his arcane craft to rival that of the Goddesses.
The Conflict
Prelude
For two centuries Netarr worked on his next project, Changeling was going to be his perfect weapon. Immortal, powerful, made from the bodies of powerful and arcane Drow, and his little touch: able to shape shifting into anyone they wanted to. In 5240 PE(2760 BGR) the first Changeling was sent to The Surface.
Over the two centuries the remaining Drow were also able to reproduce and outnumber surface Elves ten to one.
Deployment
By the time that Drow worked their way up to the surface through the tunnels that were left over from The Ascend along side the new ones, some even hidden inside the houses of Elven citizens, about 20% of the population were Changelings.
Conditions
Drow made their second ascend to the surface in waves, pouring onto the surface under the cover of night in order to avoid the Sun Sickness. Under the cover of night Netarr issued his orders to the Changelings.

The Engagement
His army was fighting against the Elves, which in reality was more of a clear massacre with just how the Elves were outnumbered and when no one is quite sure who is friend or foe with the Changelings being thrown into the mix; Elves were almost wiped out overnight.
During this time Netarr gathered his closest confidants and attacked the center of the Well of Life, where it is said that breached through into the Material Plane. There is performed a ritual to ascend to Godhood in order to fight alongside his army as the Godesses came to help their creation.
When all hope seemed to be lost when the remaining Elves retreated behind the walls of Devasi Temple to pray for their Goddesses to help them. When Uaos was bleeding out in the arms of her lover, Rema. Rema called out into The Void for anyone to help, she begged for help and The Void answered.
It is said that the world went silent when Vesemir first breached through the Astral Sea into Eslar. The sounds of battle ceased as they watched Vesemir descend in their giant wolf form, blocking out the whole sky.
Rema begged for help, she offered a deal, her life in return for the life of Uaos and help for her people. The deal was accepted.
With the deal accepted Vesemir took Rema's life as payment and brought Uaos back to life.
Uaos was devastated as she watched Rema disappear and felt her life force within herself. Her grief spread through the lands, and every living being felt the loss and sorrow of the Goddess.
Vesemir joined Uaos in the fight against Netarr and his army. All of the sudden Drow and Changelings were dropping like flies, Elves were renewed with vigor from Uaos and Rema's sacrifice and were able to fight off Drow and Changelings were suddenly able to die. With this new development the morale of Drow dropped. The God of Death gave them the ability to die.
The war did not end in a day, it took ten more days and nights until Uaos and Vesemir were able to bring down Netarr and banish him into The Void. Until the Drow and Changelings either fled back into The Underdark or laid down their weapons.

Aftermath
At the end of the fighting, Uaos showed mercy to the Changelings. Those who were left were given a choice, to return to the Underdark or to denounce their previous masters and join her and the Elves on the Surface. She knew that they were not given a choice at the beginning of their life and felt that it was not fair to not give them one ever. Those who joined her under the light were given the ability to reproduce.
Over 70% of the Elven populace was destroyed. Changelings were allowed to settle down in the what is now known as Bermu plains.
Meanwhile in the center of the Well of Life beasts were drinking the rivers from when Uaos fell and something started in their dna that kickstarted the process of BeastFolk being born in the world.
