Sphinx (sfinks)

SPHINX
A sphinx is a powerful creature with the head of a humanoid, lion, ram or bird, the haunches of a lion, and the wings of a bird. Sphinx were known known to covet treasure - be it knowledge, tresure or magical artifacts.

Some sphinx can be either treacherous and merciless, while others can be more shrewd and cunning, with a sense of justice and honour. Some sphinxes have been own methods of challenging the humanoids of Esau, to make them think and learn with riddles and parables.

TYPES

The Criosphinx has body of a lion with the head of ram; and Hierocosphinx, that has a body of a lion with a head of a falcon or hawk. The Androsphinx and Gynosphinx have the body of a lion and head of person. Androsphinxes are male, while Gynosphinxes are female.
