Naptovis Tree (Nap-toe-vis)

Naptovis Trees - also known as Sun Thorn trees - are very wild-looking trees with a red bark and spikey yellow foliage - The tiny flowers that appear most of the year are a vibrant orange.

These tree has grows to a vast size and is worshiped by some Druids, Rangers and believers in The Great Hunter (The Land).

Its branches are too twisted and gnarled to be used for beams or pillars, while its trunk is too splotched and split to be used for a coffin. It's bark is not good firewood, and with spikey foliage it is not good for children to play and climb. Nor does it grow any eatable fruit. It continuously leaks sap when cut. Cannot be turned to paper.

It's flowers do not attract butterflies.

Why do you want to compare me to, any one of those cultivated trees? The hawthorn, the apple, the walnut, the pear, the orange, the rest of those fruit bearing trees and shrubs – when they produce food it is plucked off; and to further that insult many trees are chopped down to become materials of people…Thus do their abilities embitter their lives. They die young…They batter themselves with the vulgar conventions of the world.

SEEDS

The seeds of the Naptovis tree are large, with rough and flakey coating, and feel warm to the touch.
