Bugbears
Physical Description
Bugbears resemble hairy, feral goblins standing between six to seven feet tall.Bugbear eyes are greenish white with red pupils, and their [goblin-like] wedge-shaped ears rise from the tops of their heads. They have leathery lips. These bugbears have hides ranging from yellow brown to reddish brown tinted with green - their thick, coarse hair ranges from brown to brick red, worn with two plaits beside ears - dried grasses are plaited in - rest of hair is wild and worn free flowing. They take their name from their noses, fur and claws, which are similar to those of bears. Their claws are not long and sharp enough to be used as weapons, so bugbears often armor and arm themselves with a variety of purloined gear. [These are not armoured; instead both genders wear tight shorts hide and hip-length singlet tops - genders can be told apart as adult females tend to be amble busted]
BUGBEAR = The name is derived from the Elvish word "bugge" (a frightening thing), or perhaps the Dwarvean word bwg (evil spirit or goblin), or Old Dragonic bogill (goblin), and has cognates in Giant bögge or böggel-mann (goblin), and most probably also Common "bogeyman" and "bugaboo".
* A Bugbear Chief is a heartier brute.

History
Although many Bugbears are cruel and willing to attack, those that lived in Con Tar were peaceful and keen to remain so.
When the Wild Elves controlled the Bugbears to raid and take over The City renaming it Eiellu, unfortunately it worked easily.
When the Moon Elves then chose to "fix" the problems of The City, they killed all remaining Bugbears within The City renamed Labés City.
Some of these peaceful Bugbears remain in The Grounded Belt within the Conibar Tribe.
