A Death Avatar never was a stillborn baby, who 'grew up' as a companion and warrior of Death of The Endless, (aka The Raven Queen).
They have never breathed the air of Esau. They do not need to breath, sleep, eat or drink.

The Avatar of Death is an Undead, with an alignment of neutral evil. They have no emotions and do not ever speak.
Size = Equal to the size (and silhouette) of the creature that summoned it
Winged creature = raven-like, large, feathered very dark grey wings
Smoke = when it lands the wings vanish in a cloud of very dark grey smoke, the smoke lingers around the Avatar
Hooded = appear as a tall figure wearing a very dark grey cowl
Faceless = Although they have a head, it is without features - no eyes, ears, nose nor a mouth
Rib Cage = Rib cage is visible through a very thin layer of skin
Languages = all known to the summoner
Voice = the sound of the words, deep laughter, or raven-like battle cries comes from deep in the upper chest, and sounds as if echoing inside the summoners head.
Movement = soundlessly, seems to float rather than walk
Kick = in melee, it is likely to kick a person's shins - if misses with the

Motivation
The Avatar of Death is summoned by the Skull card from the Deck of Many Things.
The Avatar has the sole purpose to attack the drawer of the card. It will not stop until itself or the person dies.
If any other creature tries to help the summoner, then another Avatar of Death (related to their appearance) appears to attack them.
