Embris Veyoulle
(a.k.a. "Shadowtree")
Embris is one of the lucky few in the current generation of empowered people of Erlyse that was a successful Ley Hunter (A person who intentionally seeks Ley Fonts for the goal of acquiring the powers they provide).
Powers
Embris is able to manifest a form of smoke colored and similarly behaving energy which can merge with, and permeate any kind of inorganic material, or any organic, but immobile material (such as trees or other plant life, or leather and similar goods and materials). Anything this energy has affected will take on a form of shadow-like appearance and is then able to be manipulated or controlled by Embris like a puppet by a puppet master. Furthermore, any material being manipulated (or even affected) by this energy can be consciously "phased out" of reality with Erlyse's universe, and thus made both invisible and intangible at will by Embris as long as the affected object or material is covered in shade or darkness. Embris can only conjure so much of this energy at a time (which gradually increases over time as he betters his understanding and control over it), and the energy can be dispersed by wind if he has not used it to permeate something already. Once a substance or object has been exposed to the energy, however, only Embris' influence, or altering of the material's physical composition (such as turning sand into glass or creating some form of chemical reaction) can remove Embris' control over the material permeated by the energy.
- Embris is capable of manifesting zones or clouds of his energy anywhere he can see, allowing him to prepare an area ahead of his arrival for use or manipulation. However, he can only functionally control things he is affecting if within 100-150 meters.
