Time Magic

The Time affinity of Planar Magic is an extremely strenuous Gift to use and has limited capabilities that become less effective the more organic life involved. Unlike most affinities/sub-affinities, Singular Time and Area of Effect Time are generally stair step.   Singular: Affecting one being or object. This can be used to slow a single being, or speed one up. Alternately, it can be used to reverse or move forward the flow of time for a single object.   Area of Effect: Affecting every being or object in a given space. Combination with Spirit can change the beings affected from all to selective, but this requires great skill and practice.   When you alter time you (and anyone else involved) age the experience, for example stretch a minute out to an hour, those within the altered minute will age the full hour of that stretched minute. Conversely, if you jump through an hour in a minute, you will only age the minute you experience. Additionally, the caster also ages a portion of the time granted to others.   Example: when Cadmus froze time during the battle with Brant's first summoned Kraken even though it was only for a few seconds (that may have felt like an eternity), as there were dozens of other knights from the Order of the Waves, along with the kraken, it took nearly ten minutes off of his life instead of seconds.
