Blood Mountains

The Blood Mountains make up the western wing of the Green Fingers Range located between the Tanthean Sea and Lake Seula.

Localized Phenomena

The Blood Mountains were the scene of a horrific slaughter. In a time when creatures of legend still walked the world, and great atrocities stalked it, blood bathed the bones of the land.
The legend goes that after sensing a strong aura of disturbing energy from the west, a joint coalition of Mathematicians from the Free City of Donachie, north of the Green Fingers Range, and Sages from Astrid's Temple of Life, located south of Green Fingers on the banks of Lake Seula, set out immediately to uncover the source. The Sages attuned their own Spirit energy to track the dark void they had felt. In the shadow of the two westernmost peaks they discovered the remains of both humans and dragons shattered and broken. The victims' own life blood had been smeared across the stones in profane sigils. The infernal magic these sigils called forth scared the rock itself.
The only thing recovered, found beneath a severed wing, was a dormant Dragon egg.
To this day, the Blood Mountains remain scarred by the unnatural magic used there. Many a thrill seeker has traveled to the sight of depraved carnage to bask in the spine tingling dread that, hundreds of years later, still permeates the stones- not all have returned.
