Free City of Donachie

Free Cities do not belong to any nation. They stand alone, run by the clergy, beholden to none but their deity.
The Free City of Donachie is the heart of worship for this divinity. It is the only Free City dedicated to a third tier divinity. As the god of Math and Rules, and thus banks, Donachie's followers
There is a large school dedicated to Math and Scientific method.
All temples to Donachie are also banks, the largest of which (in this area) is located here. They are primarily responsible for currency exchange. They do also secure and lend. The coins of the realms can’t really be used interchangeably as they are different weights. The Priests of Donachie set a loose the exchange rate. That being said, there are issues with “shaving” by the less savory characters. All exchanges at the temples are weighed, and the priests weigh all deposits and keep tally by weight, not count. Most merchants carry scales as well, but buyers should be wary of the weights they use.
