Caltsin

A language spoken in northern Ettrea, particularly in the region of Caltland (largely the modern states of the Kingdom of Prunzinn, the Kingdom of Grefensee and the Grand Duchy of Oldbruggen. Caltsin is related to both the Common Tongue and Old Siggish, but is distinct enough that someone who only speaks Common will not be able to understand Caltsin.
Caltsin is also widely spoken by sailors of many races who ply their trade on the Caltsee, including those who come from lands outside of the Empire like Wendar and Vesterland.
Caltsin is most likely descended (like Common) from the language(s) spoken by the first men to arrive in Ettrea 1,300 years ago. Unlike Common, it has not really been influenced by Eldrin , although it does have many loan words from Dhervin, and even some from Orcish.
