Avariel

Winged Elves native to the Central Continents, particularly found in mountainous regions of Ezzuth, Kar Vreld and especially among the Skyfolk of Wulvaral, amongst whom they are a major demographic.
Superficially resembling elves aside from their spectacular feathered wings, Avariel upon closer inspection have even lighter and more fine-boned builds than the typical elven specimen, large eyes, and slightly altered posture and bone structure to support flight. Their quick, alert movements and incredible vocal timbres give ground-dwellers the somewhat uncanny impression of birds within a form that is otherwise wholly humanoid. Their hair, skin and eye colour varies by ethnic group across the various territories they inhabit.
Though a rare sight in many parts of the world, even where they have a significant population, Avariel are commonly seen in Wulvaral and freely mix with other Skyfolk. There are particular cultural and historical bonds between the Avariel and the Aarakocra.
