Zombies

Reanimated corpses, these creatures have no will or agency. If reanimated by ambient magic they tend to be harmless as the will simply wander around, aimlessly. Though they can attack if disturbed. What causes them to attack is a matter of debate amongst scholars. Some suspect that the disturbance in the ambient magics provokes them, causing them to attack. Others think it that the zombies have some base level of instincts which causes them to defend themselves from potential aggressors.
Another way of zombies come into being, is from Necromantic magic. This creates a zombie under the direct control of the caster. The skill of the caster and the amount of mana used determines how many zombies the caster can control. Should a caster raise a number of zombies in excess of what it can control, the additional zombies would simply stay motionless, unresponsive. Though there is a possibility that such a zombie might be affected by ambient magic.
