Acrech
Geography
In Acrech, the terrain is quite varied, from the mountains in the north and the forests around the capital to the plains and hills in the south. While technically surrounded by water, Acrech only has coastlines along its west and northern borders. However, the eastern and southern borders run along rivers and lakes.
Dominating the northwestern parts in the Aeir mountains. These massive mountains block most of the lands from access to the coastline, forcing passage either through very few passes or to travel north or south of the mountain range. Hidden throughout the mountain range, there are many old structures, though not all of them is said to be abandoned.
Surrounding the mountain range, one predominantly finds vast forests, ranging from the mixed forests in the south to the pine forests in the north. The largest of these forests is Orkath forest, to the south, southeast of the mountains. The second-largest forest lies northeast of the mountain range, the Forest of Whispers, a place shrouded in legends and rumours.
The south and the east is mostly wide open planes and farmlands, though the occasional forest dots the land.
In the far south, surrounding the river that marks the border to the Silician Empire, a forest lies. This mixed forest is fairly thick, causing travel through it to be quite harsh.
