The Solar War

As a result of an incompetent government, uncontrolled corporate growth, and civil unrest, a massive uprising took place that led to a system-wide war that took over 50 bloody years to resolve. The system would never be the same after this war.

The Conflict

Prelude

A corporate hegemony known as the Terran Corporate Alliance established total monopolization over all major resources within the system: quickly turning it into a dystopian corporatocracy facaded by a barely functional government.

Battlefield

This war was fought primarily in the outer planets and the asteroid belt; but after rebel forces secured key strategic points within these spaces, they quickly moved in towards the inner planets.

Outcome

After the victory from the CML, many small nation-states within the system were left without support and fought amongst one another for resources and influence.

Aftermath

Once post-war instability had subsided, room for a new government was left empty; resulting in the formation of the FTS: the system's current governing body.
