Ascendant
The Ascendants of the Cult of Quelakki are the highest-ranking members within the cult, and act as Quelakki's personal assistants and hands. They are skilled, powerful, and will do anything they can to achieve the goals of the cult.
Qualifications
In order to become an ascendant, one must show unparalleled dedication to the cult as a Warlock; executing tasks with impunity, brutal elegance, skill, and fervor.
Appointment
Those who meet the aforementioned qualifications are then hand-selected by Quelakki to become Chosen. These Chosen must then undergo rigorous ritual body modifications, starting with rampant gene editing and cybernetic modification, and ending with mind-altering psionic imprints and the transfusion of blood directly from Quelakki. Those who survive this excruciating process then join the elite few of Quelakki's ascendants.
Responsibilities
Ascendants function as the hands of Quelakki: enforcing his will in-person either in the form of expert leaders or ruthless operatives.
Benefits
Ascendants enjoy a great deal of influence within the cult and material wealth. This grants them all of the resources they need to carry out their appointed tasks in whatever manner they see fit.
