EmC Engine

*WIP!*
EmC is a name based on the E=MC2 formula, to honor Einstein. (some name it Energy mass Conversion, but it has nothing to do with mass conversion) Principles: A supercooled magnetic conduit in the shape of a mobius ring creates micro black holes (bubbles) that in the micro cosmos move through the ring on both sides. The inside and outside stream create a gateway as the outside bubbles around the mobius ring force it to act and 'move' through folded space. The particle streams and magnetic disturbance latch on to the folded spacetime ('punch a hole') and therefore it appears that the ship 'moves'. They can be used for relative small distances, but the massive and complex calculations as well as the energy needed to create the magnetic field are the same (it doesn't matter of it is close or far or extremely far, the calculations are needed to kep the microbubbles exact and precise, to latch on the correct wave format. Calculations need to be continues and prevent latching on to the incorrrect wavelength as well as miscalculating the auxilalry streams to protect the ship.).
For normal (newtonian) travel the constant velocity ION particle pump is more effective.

Mathmatical Space

Mathmatical the space is folded (appearing in waveforms).
Draw a sinus line with constant frequency and punch a hole through a parabolic shape.
the 'length' between the two points on the parabolic shape is determined by the magnetic field and frequency of the bubbles. It takes a quantum computer to determine the travelled distance in 'normal" space. The time to travel is instant. There is an amount of energy needed to generate the bubble-stream.
The larger the ship, the more bubbles are needed. The strength of the engine's magentic containment field determines the size of the tunnel. The ship's inside is protected by auxillary pocket bubble generators in a mesh pattern.

Practical

The use of the EmC engine is that when you have the calcualtions done the jump is instantanous from an outsiode point of view.
calculating the bubble-stream for small sized ships is less complex, due to the size of the bubble. Therefore takes less time. A good balance between ship, speed, energy and computational power is what makes a ship good or bad compared to other ships.   Gameplay considerations on instant travel and communications
The distance is with the invention of this engine no longer an obstacle. The computational power and energy capacity of a ship determine ships quality. The ships have no energy shields. but armor. The energy shields that are in place are to mitigate the cosmic radiation keep the ship together in bubble-streams. They do not block weapons fire or scanning tech. Bubble tech can be used to create planet to planet corridors and enable travel through a "portal", when protected by a suit or monorail tube. the communication between points is also instant, based on inventions with quantum entanglement

the gameplay effects for this is similar to medieval gaming where magic is used for communication between two points. It changes the game mechanics and diplomacy etc. completely. so, no delay in long distance travel

Utility

The engine is used for long distance travel. The shorter the distance for a given ship; the less efficient it is.
Access & Availability
This technolgy is for sale and available for all who are capable of understanding the principles.
Complexity
There are non moving parts, as the engine is based on quantum mechanics, entanglement technology and relativity. It is highly complex to undertand and has some really complex design paradigmas and contradictions.
Discovery
Einstein predicted it, but could not prove it. Hawkins made the neccesary calculations to show displacement of black holes, but in the end it was a indian scientist who was able to come up with the EmC principle of bending the space time continuum, not to travel through it but use the side effect of the magnetic disturbance and push a engine (in any direction) making it an excellent engine.
