Hachubna

"There is nothing as beautiful as the molding of chaos into something magical. This can only be achieved by the help of our mistress Hachubna and her generosity to us mortals!" - Vassandar, former leader of the school of evocation

Hachubna is the goddess of Mysticism and magic, who is said to have been the origin of spells. She is part of the Second Pantheon , who was created as a result of the fusion of the First Pantheon and The first Higher Ones . Notably, Hachubna is often tied to Mashni , the god of the primordial elements, as many spells she has created are of elemental nature, such as most spells of the school of evocation (this created another branch of veneration for the mystic natural arts amongst some primal tribes)
Hachubna is said to have created every primordial arcane and mystical spell, and to have taught the channelling of chaos to mortals to master arcane magic. However, she also encompasses everything that is magical and mysterious. This means that unnatural phenomena, magical sources and much more that cannot be explained by traditional science originate from her (She however did not create the beds of chaos scattered throughout the material plain, whose origins come from primordial chaos itself). Hachubna also grants shamanic powers through many proxies and lesser gods to many tribes who do not practice direct arcane arts, but rather more obscure rituals. Notably, the goddess of magic is of neutral nature. This means she but follows the laws of mysticism, which are unknown to most mortals, and thus will grant power even to some that may be considered evil, as the channelling of chaos does not care for such frivolous things as morality.
The goddess of mysticism is also a highly ranked deity of the giant pantheon, along with Goibhniu and Eshnahif , who is otherwise mostly comprised of gods of lesser divine rank. This has for reason that Hachubna is at the origin of giant runes, whose mystical magic allowed the giants to even rival dragons. She is also seen as the patron deity of most giant sages and wizards.
Due to her wide agenda, Hachubna is venerated by many, especially scholarly people around the plains of Epliström, as magic and mysticism are omnipresent or at least interpreted as such by many. Today, most of her venerators are either of tribal origin where her mysterious side is accentuated, or wizards and sorcerers that seek to better understand and channel chaos and mold it to their whims. By consequence, there are not many churches or temples dedicated to the goddess, as the common folk, though they believe and fear her, seldomly truly pray to her, compared to her more appealing sisters such as Sarenrae , the goddess of the Sun and Healing,  Daghda , the goddess of the earth and harvest, or Lugh , the goddess of arts, commerce and travel.

Divine Domains

Hachubna represents the domains of mysticism and magic. This means that any arcane magic and any mystic arts are part of her agenda and were in some way originated from her.

Artifacts

There exists in Epliström one book, named the tome of arcanum, which is the only known artifact associated with Hachubna. The current whereabouts of this book are unknown, but accounts exist that claim that it appeared many centuries ago to a Giant sage at the peak of the Mahakam Mountains , who hid it from any other mortals, fearing its unimaginable power. This sage and the miracle he possessed was later deified in the giant pantheon and is now known as the lesser deity Mallaun the bookkeeper. The exact abilities of the artifact are unknown. Some scholars claim that it contains every arcane spell in existence, others believe it to be capable of much more, and yet others think it might be a form of the goddess herself. Regardless, whoever may find it again one day would gain knowledge and power unattainable by any other mortal

Divine Symbols & Sigils

The main divine symbol of Hachubna is the staff, but some depictions of her also show a ten pointed magical circle. Thus, many charms and symbols of the goddess have adopted the latter as a sigil of her power.

Tenets of Faith

There are no specific tenets of faith for venerating Hachubna, other than that the pursuit of knowledge and the arcane should go above all else, as long as no irrevocable sins are committed. Venerators of the goddess are mainly wizards and sorcerers alike, as weilding arcane arts is all about channelling chaos and molding it into something orderly.
On the other hand, as part of the Giant Pantheon, Hachubna's mystical side demands some more strict tenets among the former. Giants wanting to serve the goddess will often seclude themselves for years or decades, living as sages and pilgrims to beds of chaos, trying to find themselves in it. They then often return to their clans and become either heads or clan mystics.

Social

Family Ties

Hachubna is a goddess of the Second Pantheon , as such all the gods in that group are considered her siblings. Though the goddess prefers to stay independent, there are times where she will come to the aid of either side of her peers, be it for good or evil.
However, it is also now known that the Goddess bore child. Though her spouse remains unknown, the creature that was born of her bore the name Velen. This child became a demi-goddess of the giant pantheon and rallied most of the giant tribes under her banner. Though it is not known what ties Velen had to her mother before, the fact that she allied herself and loved a person going by the name of the lich king, who sought to affront the very existence of the gods, made her most likely become at least indifferent to her mother. Velen was slain by the very man she loved in their final desperate ploy to defeat a party of legendary adventurers, which ended in failure. Since, no other relatives of the goddess of mysticism have manifested themselves.
