Frontier Bastion

Towering next to lake Bungo bordering the Woodland Forest, the frontier Bastion was specifically designed to stop the advance of Eshneff'il , the southern empire, into the Eastern Realms. As its name indicates it is at the border between these two powers, next to the Filibert river, and serves now as the first line of defense to the current invasion. Constructed about 60 years prior to current events by the Mirshire alliance, a banding of a few eastern kingdoms to the south of the territory, most concerned by the invasion, it has now been reinforced with men.
However, no news has reached from it since about 3 weeks before current events, after 4 months of siege, making the question arise if this impregnable fortress has lost its status.

Demographics
The frontier bastion's main demographics are of course soldiers, but there are a few civilians such as smiths and servants, as well as a nearby village that has been mostly evacuated due to current events.
Government
The frontier bastion is directly under the control of the Mirshire alliance war council.
Defences
The frontier bastion was designed to be as impregnable as possible. As such, its high walls tower well over 50 meters high, it is prepared to last for months of siege with the right equipment, and has siege engines of its own to defend itself. Though only a single sorcerer mans the bastion, the sheer quantity of soldiers and defenses should be enough to compensate.
Infrastructure
The fortress' infrastructure is sufficient, though it does not suppose any specific comfort. It has an independent water supply, as well as a military hospital, with good hygiene, but no dedicated sewers or other such things.

History
The frontier Bastion was built about 60 years before current events by the Mirshire alliance, a banding together of a few of the southern members of the Eastern Realms, as a security measure and first line of defense to stop the foreseen advance of , Eshneff'il into Eastern territory. Taking almost a decade to construct, it is known to have never been successfully taken ever since.
