The Sons of the Holy Blade of St Reynald

The Sworn Sons, or more accurately the Sons of the Holy Blade of St Reynald, are a Kylorun military order founded in 26 4E by Prince Fulsten, fourth son of Emporer Galwedd. They were founded as a response to the destruction the Nightfall caused and the difficulty Fulsten saw the Empire had with dealing with it. From their inception, the order has had one duty - to protect and defend the people of Eorin from the threat of the rifts and the creatures and dangers they brought into the world.
The Sworn Sons carry out this duty by providing safety and protection to whoever needs it. Among other services, the order builds fortifications along major travel routes and patrols them, builds and maintains hospitals, fights against bandits and robbers, and hunts down reported monsters and rogue mages. They have even established a simple banking network to provide a level of insurance to travellers and traders and to lower the level of banditry. While sworn to neutrality in political conflicts, the order will often provide protection and medical aid to non-combatants caught in the crossfire of wars.
The order currently operates over fifty chapters and hundreds of commanderies across Eorin, mostly in Tarlin and Valmeinia. In Elderen they have a chapter in Catun and a chapter in Journey's Close, both under the command of High-Mistress Oriel Gare , and since the Imperial invasion the order has sent hundreds of sergeants and non-combatant members to aid in their operations in the area.
