Session 31: Dock-master's Children

After a period of research, I decided to finally return to my friends and share what I learnt, while hearing what they had experienced. We decided to go to talk with Korbik Hillhand, the dock-master, who's name we were given by Lady Blackwood. We then encountered Roderick the carpenter again, who happens to be his neighbour, and after some questioning we went to check out the house and talk with the dockmaster directly.
After making sure that things seemed safe, Astrelh and I went to have a talk with him while Iza and Fjarldt covered the ways out in case he chose to run. We learnt that he had been bribed in a way by a noble named Kieror Berengar, a known gambler who's debts I had heard had disappeared, in exchange for getting his kids through the gates for a chance at a better life in the Newtown. After we asked all our questions we left, but not before Astrelh offered to help Korbik talk to his kids one last time.
After that, we spoke with Lady Blackwood and told her that we planned to try and make the Petvian captain smuggle for her instead. She seemed to cooperate with this plan, and the next day we made contact with the captain and, after a bit of "explaining", got her to talk with Lady Blackwood's son who was sent as a representative.
