Unlike in most Dungeons & Dragons settings, each race in Eorin does not have a singular language. Instead, most races have multiple languages depending on the region, culture, class, etc. These are grouped into language families, with each language descendant from the original language of that family. Due to their shared origin all languages in a family use the same script for writing, though there are a few exceptions.
In general each cultural group has its own language family but this is not always the case. Also, while there are vast arrays of different dialects within each language, two speakers of the same language would be able to talk and understand each other with relative ease.
