The De La Rona family is a former noble house of lords in the ancient elven homeland of the Borealis where the current uprising against the Loricanian Empire is underway. In Borealis the family settlement is known as "Bosque de la Bellota Antigua", and sits along the southern border with Loricanium, which made it one of the first feudal states in the Elven Empire to fall to the Loricanians.
The Name De La Rona or "Of the Mange" is a reference to the ancient family head, Juan Lazaro de Bellota Antigua, and how his appearance seemed once he had fled his homeland into the island nation of Kirchdorf, a peasant and exile from his home, titles, and noble status. Fearing the reception of his true name, since he had been a well-known trader of Halfling and Gnomish slaves from Loricanium to the eastern kingdoms, Juan Lazaro opted to begin again, styling himself Jose Lucio De La Rona.
