The Atlantean Empireis a sprawling civilization, encompassing a vast expanse of land, sea, and sky. At its heart lies the island of Atlantis itself, a place of great splendor and the seat of the empire's power. From this central hub, the empire extends its influence outward, establishing dominion over the surrounding regions and beyond.
Imperium Imprimus
Atlantis seems like somewhat of a contradiction; the smallest of the Five Empires in landmass, it nonetheless lays claim to all of the seas and skies beyond fifty leagues offshore of any other Empire's landmass in Navica. It maintains these claims by its control of Mount Axis, a source of seemingly limitless magical power which has allowed Atlantis to accomplish feats of technomantic prowess comparable to those of the Red Age. By sharing this knowledge and innovation with the other four Empires and its vassal states, Atlantis' position at the centre of the world is mirrored by its position at the centre of the vast and sturdy network of political alliances, trade agreements, treaties and armistices which allow it to maintain its supremacy.
Yet, in keeping with core Atlantean values embracing harmony between one's self and one's environment, the Empire's rule is not a tyrranical one; the Imperators here lead by example as paragons of the Duality, which views truth as subjective and values harmony above all.

With their luminescent flora and fauna, and architectural marvels crafted from coral, pearl, and other precious materials, they showcase the wonders of the deep.

As an island nation, Atlanteans have always been the world's greatest shipbuilders so it shouldn't surprise anyone to learn that their prowess extends to aeronautics. With their peerless mastery of flight, the Atlanteans have built a powerful sky-fleet that ensures their supremacy in the vast skies above their empire. Their cutting edge vessels and mighty floating fortresses harness the power of Aetheric crystals, infused with elemental energies, to provide the necessary propulsion and lift, allowing the vessels to soar through the skies with grace and speed. The Atlanteans have mastered the intricacies of this technology, enabling them to navigate through different atmospheric conditions and harness the natural energies of the skies.
The AAF plays a vital role in surveillance and reconnaissance across the empire. Aerial patrols and scout missions allow the Atlanteans to monitor the vast territories under their dominion, detect potential threats, and gather intelligence. This is not to say that the AAF is the only game in the skies, just the best-equipped. As with most other places on Navica, by the turn of the 10th century IR the world has developed a healthy civilian sky-fleet.
