Waking up the following morning, Tia is forced to put her new abilities -which she has no familiarity or knowledge of- to immediate use by guidance if a mystery voice in her head, Duff. Her mother left Tia in a mess, Ben having seen her face and her racial magic atop the mountain. She takes on a new appearance and displays her father's magic to evade suspicion, barely skidding by.
