Wonderous Nature
Intense sunlight showers the regs, wadis and ergs of the Shamsi Desert and many reaches of its sands will go decades without a drop of water. Yet its greatest danger cannot be seen. Ionizing radiation, known as radiant poisoning to the Kingdom of Accia, emanates from their mountains and deepest reaches of the dunefields. Even at night, the solar influence persists, tiny suns dispersed throughout Shamsi and some burried beneath its sands. Despite these dangers, Shamsi is home to unique wildlife and the hardiest of flora. An entire ecosystem waits to be explored within this article! |
Heart's and Minds
The Saan are nomadic and gregarious Alkelbulian tribes which make heir home in KwaZulu and are one of the oldest cultures in Emynea. Unlike their Abantu and Khoekhoe neighbors, the Saan have never domesticated any plant or animal, relying totally on hunting and foraging. They are known as the most skilled hunters in Alkelbulan, tracking prey regardless of distance or weather! They are also known for their unique click language and celestial magic. |
Rise of Nations
Every region of Emynea is characterized by elemental influence, Birit Narim is the land of Light. As eras have risen and fallen throughout the long history of Emynea, Birit Narim has always been ground zero for civilization to blossom, a fertile pocket within arid lands. Brilliant illusions flicker to life when the sun sets and t's rivers Purattu and Idiqlat glisten with solar energy. Yet Birit Narim has a dark past, sought after for their keen fertility—many believe these lands are cursed! |
Strength and Honor
Four dynasties vie for power and the right to rule Zhongguo, their palace set afloat the lava of a sacred volcano, Penglai Shan. Each member of the Si Xiang descend from their divine patron, Ralgotar the Volcanic! Members of each dynasty inherit features of one of the Four Auspicious Beasts. Tianlan Wangchao take on the features of a Qinglong (Azure Dragon), Zhuhong Wangchao inherits features of the Zhuque (Vermillion Phoenix), Baise Wangchao gains features of the Baihu (Alabaster Tiger) and Heiyaoshi Wangchao has attributes of the Xuanwu (Obsidian Tortoise). |
Pillars of Progress
A mystical city which rises into the sky and descends into a mountaintop crater with the sun each day. Dawn Ahrayn is the Seat of Lithmor, the element of light and home to the Zalag Ennun, her cult and guardians. Once the capital of the Babilim Empire, it is home to grand architecture and heavenly serenity, rivers of pure light flowing out from Dawn Ahrayn and feeding the rivers Parattu, Idiqlat and al-Nil River. Vast palaces, overflowing gardens and a monumental pyramid are tended to fastidiously by Lithmor's priestesses. This near paradise is also well fortified, protected by seemingly hundreds of gates at the bast of Mount Araratat, illusory and real lions and mushussu and moats of raw solar plasma! |
Myth's and Legends
Evolving from far more ancient beliefs and adapted to the existance of the Erlithmanil, Netjer Pesedjet is the pantheon and mythology of the Masriyyin people in Kemet. Members of this pantheon include Raet (Lithmor), Osiris (Zalikar), Set (Raegeric) and more. Within this article are many myths including their creation story and which Masriyyin gods are associated with which Erlithmanil and Aethid. |
Best Worldbuilding Article
One of the most defining features of Emynea is its hereditary system of magic, of elemental connections and how they can use them. Racial magic defines many species, peoples and even occupations, abitlies which are passed down from their ancestors who were originally blessed by the Erlithmanil or Aethid. There are two kinds of racial magic, physical manifestations and mental manifestations. The latter pull their power from the mental Elemental Planes, affecting the mind, emotions and memories with their magic! |
