Stokeworth Evergreen

Early Life

Born in 1141, in Oakreach, Stokeworth is the youngest of 9 children from Nigel Evergreen. Stokeworth grew up largely apart from his other siblings, as was common for the house. From the early age of 7 Stokeworth proved himself as an excellent fighter. Though not large, Stokeworth was extremely agile, with excellent instincts. Training rigorously as a child, by the age of 14, Stokeworth was part of the Silverstring Bowman. By the age of 19, a Stokeworth was in command of the Silverstring bowman, and leading them on forays to ensure the protection of the few caravans that still travelled to Oakreach.

Adult Life

In 1161 Stokeworth discovered a relatively large bandit camp north the of Oakreach along the Way of the Oak road, after a number of caravans were raided.

Stokeworth led the Silverstring Bowman ona night raid, destroying the camp and plundering significant coin from the bandits. During this battle Stokeworth picked up a bandit shield to protect himself from the barrage of missiles. This forced Stokeworth to use his large bastard sword in one hand. He discovered he was strong enough to wield it in one hand. After the battle, Stockworth used his share of the plunder to craft a second bastard sword, and now wields both, nicknamed “Sun” and “moon” the large swords.

In 1170, it is rumoured Stokeworth, now 29, was tired of waiting to inherit the title of head of house, and so attempted to poison his father and sieze power. There is some evidence of this, as his father Nigel Evergreen did contract Winthrops leprosy. Stokeworth denies this and says his father caught the decease and became insane. Regardless of the truth, now fearing for his life, Stokeworth fled Oakreach, soon to be followed by the Silverstring bowman, as they were loyal to their commander rather than the house.

The latest rumour is Stokeworth is hiding somewhere in the Crimson Pine Forest, preying on the very caravans he used to protect.

Stokeworth Evergreen, warrior heir of House Evergreen , is rumoured to have fled Oakreach and is camped in Crimson Pine Forest.
