Smallston House

Smallston House is the newly constructed seat of power for Duchess Amakler in Northern Argyle.
The central chamber of Smallston House was rumored to have been summoned by Amakler herself after communing for a year.

Diplomatic Destination

Among the dignitaries received at Smallston House are a number of Amakler's previous contacts from the Summer Court, as well as diplomats from the various elven communities in Argyle, Sirastir, and Marothell. Citizens of the surrounding villages claim that envoys from the magocracy of Menimrest visit several times a year, a fact they say it proven by the frequency of book sellers and other eclectic purveyors traveling to the estate.

Purpose / Function

Duchess Amakler has the estate constructed to serve as both her private residence as well as the training grounds for her small cadre of elite forces.

Architecture

The exteriors of Smallston House reflect a mixture of Elven and Sirastir/Caelian design elements. Elegant towers draped in flowing trellises of flowering plants combine with study granite halls reflecting the mining heritage of northern Argyle.

History

Duchess Amakler ordered the construction of Smallston House in 288 YR, and work was completed on the main building by 290 YR. Additional buildings were added to the estate grounds in 295 and 298.
