Hession's Wedge

Hession's Wedge is a large, fortification structure located at the border nexus of Phesunlay, Brist, and Varenval. Hession's Wedge was constructed by builders and magic wielders of all three Borean nations, under supervision from Konard architects, at the end of the Great Borean War. The Wedge was a symbolic and literal symbol of peace at the end of the war, and it also served as a forced collaboration point for individuals who, up until then, had been on opposite sides of the war.
The Wedge itself is a six-pointed star fort, with two points stretching out into each nation. The centre nexus of the borders is at the centre of the fort, and the fort is jointly patrolled and maintained by all three nations. At all times, there are five guards present from each nation. Four of these guards patrol the points that do not face into their own nation, and the remaining guard patrols both points within their own nation. This means each point has two individuals in it at all times, with a third person in each point regularly throughout each day. While no other people live at the fort, the closest towns in each nation regularly provide supplies to the fort.
The fort is largely ceremonial now, with two changing of the guards taking place each year. One of these changes is unremarked, while the other is always attended by dignitaries from all four nations, with the expectation that the ruler of each land attend at least once every three Eochs.
