The Bandit King

The Bandit King is the honourary title given to the current leader of the Bandit Lands by their fellow bandits. In past instances, the Bandit King has gone by their given name, but the current Bandit King prefers to go solely by the honorific. The title of Bandit King has been awarded in many ways in the past: through voting, through combat, through coups, through nepotism, and even through recognition of heroic deeds.
It's unclear how the current Bandit King got the position, but based on the fact that everyone seems to truly respect them, it is likely that they were either elected or given the position. The current Bandit King is a trans man who cannot bear bigots or other people who do not show each other ample respect. While he is aware of and plays a few of the political games required to keep the Tein in line, he also despises their separation and their distaste for everyone else. It is also unclear where this Bandit King was born, originally -- while some children are born and raised in the Bandit Lands, it seems more likely based on their thin but muscular appearance that this Bandit King is from either Konard, Phesunlay, or Endref.
