Alfredo Family

Known members, past and present:

  • Vítězslav de Alfredo was a ranch hand who saved up enough money to buy a land deed and a starting herd of his own when he was around 30 years old, in the very late 400s. Rivals muttered that the man could not really be Human with the way he kept bulling ahead through the tough years.
  • Ludwig K. de Alfredo, a son born late in life to Vítězslav, married Mia and they jointly ran Alfredo Ranch from Alfredo House in the mid 500s. They did well enough that Ludwig bought out a neighbor's troubled ranch when his sons were teenagers, and started eyeing a couple more neighbors who might appreciate the same offer.
  • Mauricio 'Big Mauri' de Alfredo, Ludovicus 'Big Lui' de Alfredo, and then-teenager Piera 'Princess' de Alfredo took over the ranch less than a year before their father passed on.

Maps

  • Alfredo House cellar
Is that carpet a real Zaragamba?
The entrance from outside is at the bottom of this map. Entrance to stairwell is on the north side, but the stairwell is mostly open to the cellar on either side until one step before the upper landing. Above this set of stairs are more stairs. The space below the stairs is reinforced with sturdy pillars, but has plenty of open space to allow a view from the desk chair all the way across the room.
This cellar is brightly light at most times, not only for use as a study for ranch finances but also because the Alfredo House furnace is down here.
To the right upon entry into the cellar, a Special Accommodation Guest Room is lit by a small Continual Light lantern set into the rear wall of the Guest Room. Privacy can be provided by the large floor-to-ceiling curtains, but of course since those are currently tied open, it is readily apparent that no Special Guest occupies that Guest Room at this moment.

  • Sarsparilla Bunkhouse
It may be lacking in amenities, but this bunkhouse had a few comforts built into it for ranch hands who would be living here more than half the year around.
  • Alfredo House attic floor

The majority of this map is a copyrighted map created by DramaScape. It is available for free download via DriveThru RPG. I added the stairwell, assembled by taking an existing asset and rotating it into place, and fitted everything into the surrounding darkness.

I recommend several of DramaScape's products, which usually include a VTT version and a printable version. The text description may not fully match the visual, but they make great starting points!

  • Whippetal Ranch at Night
Jesse Devonshire in tawny owl form did a fly-over at night of Whippetal Ranch, the ranch south of Oatman Canyon. The SNAFU Posse makes their plans based on what Jesse reports back:
    Jesse Devonshire:
    • By default, no Layers are visible when the map first loads. You can turn on and off some or all Layers of symbols via the hamburger icon in the upper right corner.
    • You did a flyover of the big ranch south of the Oatman Canyon perimeter. It was about an hour after midnight on Grolm 9th. I have combined information for low-light vision and thermal vision.
    • The "barns and barracks" layer will give you information about the potentially hellbeast-related buildings over which you flew.
    • The "other buildings" layer will give you a small amount of information about buildings too small or too inappropriately shaped for Hell Bovine purposes.
    • The "geographical features" and "water" layers help you orient yourself as you fly around.
    • You spotted some "clues" as well!
