Zen Miles

Zen Miles is a Kobold rogue from the northern mountains of Talevir, near the Shorn Cliffs. An ambitious upstart, Zen Miles left his den to become the first Kobold "on the force." His instincts for dealing damage are second to none. With pack tactics and sneak attack, this little Kobold can fire an arrow through just about anybody, just so long as he's not out under the sun.
Zen Miles first came into contact with Clonkerbonk "Plip" Tunnelroller as they moved to escape from the Dwarves tunneling deep into the mountains. The two moved south, meeting another Druid, named LiauLiau. The three teamed up in an effort to ease their journey South.

The Mine of Eastpointe Mills

The Bugbear roared and swung its mighty morningstar wildly over its head. With a furious swing, the spiked ball makes contact with Swan's chest. Grievously wounded, the Barbarian holds to life while locked eye to eye with the bandit-leader of the cave. Meanwhile, twenty feet away, the small reptilian figure of a Kobold looks on at the display. He does a few quick calculations, tracing the trajectory with his claw. Then, emboldened by the Barbarian's presence and his own instinctual pack tactics, he pulls and looses one single arrow. As quickly as he had aimed, the arrow shoots across the cavern and finds its target. The arrow drives deep into the Bugbear's throat and casts him backwards into his own campfire. It was another critical hit for Zen Miles.

The trio of Zen Miles, LlauLlau and Plip teamed up and decided to travel to Stagshead for the promise of good work. At this destination, the trio would take on a contract that would pit them against another trio of adventurers. Ultimately, the six adventurers concluded that they should work together and split the reward evenly. This forged the union between the Phandelver Six: Zen Miles, Plip Tunnelroller, LlauLlau, Flynn Einrider, Swan and Jujubee Jenkins.
The six adventurers met with a Dwarf that had some previous contact with Plip, offering a great sum of money if the party could deliver mining materials to the town of Eastpointe Mills, in the mountains East of Stagshead. The six agreed, and departed. On the way, they found that their charge had been ambushed along the trail by a band of goblins. The party demolished the band of goblins and saved their employer's bodyguard. They were too late to rescue their employer, as a splinter of the goblin gang had already relocated him further into the woods, to Cragmaw Castle.
Zen's pact tactics and sneak attacks proved to be a formidable force within the party. Along with his can-do attitude, Zen Miles became a natural leader of the party.
