Flynn Einrider

Flynn Einrider is a Half-Elf Wizard from the Realm of Talevir. Flynn's father is rumored to have been a notably powerful Mage. Years prior, one of Flynn's father's adventures brought him to Windings. While there, he had an affair with Flynn's mother. He left shortly after, having been pulled away by some matters of utmost importance. He never returned.   Flynn spent his childhood years growing up in the village of Windings, in the West of Talevir. Flynn and his mother worked for an orchard in Windings, and took periodic journeys to the nearby city of Sureharbor for trade. Flynn led a mostly quiet life in Windings. But he has always been obsessed with anything to do with the arcane arts. He became an avid reader, learning letters on his own accord. Access to Sureharbor kept his appetite for mythic stories about mages and wizards well fed. Occasionally, Flynn would come across some real magical elements. After trying his hand at some basic Illusions, Flynn found himself to be quite adept and a quick learner. Through some friendly acquaintances in the city and a fair deal of persistence, Flynn's abilities grew.   By the age of 17, Flynn's fantasies of his Wizard Father returning had begun to feel stale. Flynn became determined to prove himself as a capable wizard himself and to find what the great world outside of Windings had to offer. To the dismay of his mother, Flynn embarked on his very own adventure.

The Mine of Eastpointe Mills

The image of Larry the Goblin sauntered into the watchman's vision. Flynn made the illusory Larry grunt and wave. The watchmen shout something to the illusion in Goblin. It was a bust. If Flynn didn't act soon, the entire party would be made. Doing the first thing he could think of, Flynn shaped his illusion of Larry the Goblin into the sight of a fast-decaying corpse. The sight is horrific, as Larry's body appears to wither into a skeleton and drop to the ground before falling into ash and dissolving away. The watchmen are dismayed. The party around Flynn is dismayed. But they made it safely into the cave.
Flynn's first stop on his first great adventure was to Sureharbor, the city he had grown to know so well in his visits there. During this time, he observed and intervened in a small skirmish that broke out involving a shockingly large human teenage barbarian named Swan and an older, grizzled barfly. Flynn used a couple of arcane tricks he had picked up in order to help Swan get out of the tussle without much of an issue. The two shared a night of laughter and immediately struck a partnership. They agreed to go East to the capitol city of Talevir, Stagshead. They employed an Elven fighter named Jujubee Jenkins for muscle and to help them on the road East.   Once the three adventurers reached Stagshead, they answered a posting on a job bulletin in a bid for the gold reward. On this mission, the three adventurers met with a rival adventuring party comprised of a Half-Elf druid, a Deep Gnome druid and a surprisingly capable Kobold rogue. The two rival parties decided to join together to split the reward. The six formed a partnership and completed the job.   After completing the job, the six adventurers came to a tavern in Stagshead, where they ran into an old acquaintance of the Deep Gnome druid, Plip. This acquaintance was a Dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker. Gundren employed the six adventurers to bring a cart of supplies a few days' march East to the town of Eastpointe Mills.
