Clonkerbonk "Plip" Tunnelroller
Clonkerbonk "Plip" Tunnelroller is a young Deep Gnome druid from the Underdark caverns deep under the northern mountains of Talevir, near the Shorn Cliffs.
When she was only fifteen, Plip's family was conscripted into service as scouts and healers by a force of Dwarves delving under the mountains. After twenty years as a medic and cavern scout, Plip had the opportunity to desert when a battle between the Dwarves and a community of Kobolds was interrupted by the sudden appearance of a powerful being that laid waste to most of the combatants. Plip hid until it was safe, healed the couple she could from both sides, and left for the surface. She is somewhat jaded and scarred from her involuntary conscripted service and the battles she's seen. Deep Gnomes are reclusive by nature, and Plip has had some resentments of others reinforced (especially where it comes to following authority) but had other reservations broken down by seeing other groups in similar situations to her family being pressed into service or attacked.
While she has experience as a healer and scout, she only just began learning to wield the nature magic of a druid upon journeying out into the mountains of the surface world at the age of 35. Her main motivations are to assist those she sees as deserving help with healing and a bit of a hand escaping bondage, but not at risk to her returning to a similar state. She wants to work to produce potions and is inclined to take up jobs scouting passages and caverns for the sake of stocking up on ingredients.
Plip first came into contact with Zen Miles as they fled from the Dwarves' delvings under the mountains. The two moved south, meeting another Druid, named LiauLiau. The three teamed up in an effort to ease their journey South.

The Lost Mine of Eastpointe Mills
Plip darted right into the middle of the main force of goblins and cast a wave of thundering concussive force from their midst, flinging all enemies to the edges and granting her compatriots the chance to charge the wounded goblins in surprise. The young druid had learned to keep her companions out of the range of her spell's damage, but may have developed a bad habit from seeing a bit of success while not communicating her plan to her companions and running straight toward the enemy in a foolhardy charge. She would pay the next time she tried such a gambit. After spending only a short while traveling and working together on the surface, Plip and Zen Miles met up with another druid, Llaussaphi "LlauLlau" Udroidu. The trio teamed up and decided to travel to Stagshead for the promise of good work. At this destination, the trio would take on a contract that would pit them against another trio of adventurers. Ultimately, the six adventurers concluded that they should work together and split the reward evenly. This forged the union between the Phandelver Six: Zen Miles, Plip Tunnelroller, LlauLlau, Flynn Einrider, Swan and Jujubee Jenkins. The six adventurers met with a Dwarf that had some previous contact with Plip, offering a great sum of money if the party could deliver mining materials to the town of Eastpointe Mills, in the mountains East of Stagshead. The six agreed, and departed. On the way, they found that their charge had been ambushed along the trail by a band of goblins. The party demolished the band of goblins and saved their employer's bodyguard. They were too late to rescue their employer, as a splinter of the goblin gang had already relocated him further into the woods, to Cragmaw Castle. Plip and LlauLlau made their presence well known in an altercation along the way to Cragmaw Castle by Wild Shaping into wolves and attacking a host of Orcs that nearly spelled the end for the entire party. If not for the Druids' wild shape, the party may have suffered serious casualties. Over the course of several altercations, Plip helped with her spellwork as well as drawing attacks from enemies and knocking others over, giving openings for other party members to lay into them. However, she also was grievously wounded several times and even poisoned to the brink of death. Once the lost mine was secured and the party signed as beneficiaries of a portion of the mine's profits, Plip decided she'd had well enough of the adventuring life. While much of the group went on to join with the Lord's Alliance, Plip stayed and settled on the edge of Eastpointe Mills on the route up to Deep Hollow Pass, setting up a shop - "Plip's Potions, Picks, and Provisions" - for general needs of adventurers and miners headed into the mountains.
