Talevir

At the confluence of two rivers, Talevin forged a seat of power that would become one of the largest centers of civilization on Elloria. The seat, crowned by the antlers of the common residents of this valley at the time, imbued its master with superior influence over commonfolk. The region eventually became known as Deer Valley. The city at its head, and the last known location of Talevin's seat of power, became known as Stagshead.
Talevir is a prosperous region located in the northern sea, beneath the land bridge that unites the Continent of Breotia and the Western Lands of Rol Mara, Westonia and Ervos. The land mass of Talevir is roughly as large as Central Europe, with the distance from its North Shores to its South Shores nearly equivalent to the distance from the Northern tip of Denmark to the Southern tip of Italy. Most of Talevir enjoys a rather temperate climate, although the Northern side of the country (and the Eastern Mountains) does see its fair share of Snow, Sleet, Rain and Hail.   The continent is divided by two mountain ranges: The Shorn Cliffs to the North and The Spine to the East. Both of these mountain ranges are host to a number of adventurous fortune seekers and unknown terrors among the depths below the mountains. Other notable geographical aspects of the continent include a foggy bayside in the West, a vast Central Plains region right in the center of the country and a great, near impassable bog in the Northeast.   By 905 CE, the various regions of Talevir have been united in a Confederacy of Regional Territories. The union is a tenuous arrangement for the newcomers from the North side of the continent, who preferred their sovereignty. While all territories share the burden of governance among the continent, the real power remains in the union's de facto capital, Stagshead. Prior to the unification, most of the larger settlements in the continent operated as independent territories or city-states.
