Ranger’s Reach

Ranger’s Reach is one of eight regional territories of the Realm of Talevir.
The territory includes the alternate administrative seat and primary garrison point of martial power for The Realm, Rangefort, but local governance is administered out of Cooperage, along the central coast in Fairharbor Bay.

The territory lays claim to and controls most of the eastern coast of Talevir, from Spinebreaker’s Bay in the south to the edge of the wetlands at Ranger’s Faltering in the north, and west to the ridge of The Spine mountain range, the edge of the Shorn Cliffs at Galewind Peak and the Galewall Plateau, and the broad wooded stretch of Driver’s Gap between the mountain ranges.

Reachland had a long history as a rival state to Talevir, when the realm was confined to what later became the territory of Deer Valley. The old city of Cooperage still stands as the regional capitol, though the Talevir fortification of the Ranger's Garrison to the north - later built up to become the city of Rangefort - consolidated control of the eastern and northern expanses of the continent under one administrative center. The territory is prosperous enough (and has great enough representation at court) that very few nationalistic feelings from before the unification still persist. However, Cooperage has deep roots and history, and some cells of separatists of Old Reachland linger both in the city and the mountains.
