Bart Waverider

Bart Waverider was a Professor at Saddleback University, North of Foal's Landing in Talevir.  Bart's research into extraplanar beings resulted in contact with a powerful sentient weapon, a trident called Wave.  Wave exerted its influence on Bart, who created a pact with the trident, accepting supernatural abilities in exchange for unyielding fealty to the god Poseidon.  Upon sharing news of his successes in communicating across the planes with his peers, Bart was met with doubt and derision.  Expelled from his position at the university, Bart fell deeper into the clutches of Wave and Poseidon.  He began traveling and spreading word of Poseidon, sharing the Seven Rules of the Sea.  His travels ultimately brought him into the employ of Octavius Tassian.

OCTAVIUS'S MOCK DUNGEON

Turning the corner, the narrow hallway opened to a large cavern.  Bart could see that they were outnumbered.  He focused, dropped his halberd back into its pocket dimension.  In the same motion, he grabbed a pinch of bat fur and another of coal.  He crushed the components in his palm and darkness sprung from his hands and blanketed the entire cavern with blindness.  He pulled it off: The Spicy Meatball.

Bart Waverider made an acquaintance with five other adventurers near Stagshead. At a tavern in Stagshead, the group accepted an invitation to an interview at a mock dungeon. With the promise of stable income, they made their way east towards the mysterious mock dungeon. During their interview, Bart proved his worth by decoding several riddles and demonstrating strategically sound combat tactics.
The party was successful in passing Octavius's interview and all accepted offers of contracted work for the eccentric entrepreneur. It is unclear whether Bart fulfilled his end of the contract, as there are few records of their name beyond the interview with Octavius, and the latter's flippancy towards the God of the Ocean seemed to rub Bart the wrong way.
