Ferian Dynasty
The Ferian Dynasty is a country that is build on an assortment of strong family lineages. The original Ferian Family is of elven origin. This family strongly controlled and cultivated a small piece of land and actively tried to expand it thorugh both diplomatic and military means. At some point they started expanding their family through diplomatic marriages creating new family lines with other races. The first race to join the Ferian Family was a human house that ruled bordering land. Once the expanse started, other neighboring lands were more or less forced to join because they couldn't fight against the joined families.
The human line inherited the name of it's patriach, Greyeagle. Soon after a line, of gnomes, The Wallyword clan joined the dynasty. Some generations after the inclusion of both new dynasties the original Ferian bloodline began to lose it's overwhelming influence. While the elves from the Ferian Family outlived the other dynasties, they couldn't persuade and control their younger brethren. It didn't take long before the elven heritage was lost in both the Greyeagle and Wallyword lines. However all dynasties remained close allies with the mutual goal of strengthening their nation.
The landmass of the Ferian dynasty is a lush but somewhat dry land. Large swathes of land are covered by tropical forests and several large rivers flow through the land allowing access to the sea, even if you are very far inland. By far the most special part of the country are the dynasties itself and the attachment the inhabitants have to them. The ruling class of the country is closely related to the main bloodlines, but even those far removed from them feel a strong sense of union and loyalty. This allows the Ferian dynasty to prosper and because there no warlike countries bordering them they are mostly focused on researching the arcane.

The Ferian Dynasty has been contacted by the Kingdom of Signium for trade deals that wouldn't be equally beneficial. The Ferian Dynasty has gracefully accepted the proposed deals anyway, because they fear the possible expansion of the Plains of Grahaul. The Ferian Dynasty wishes to prevent a scenario where large quantities of sea raiders might attack their shores. Supplying the Kingdom of Signium hopefully allows them to fight back agasinst the raiders from the plains.

Recently the Greyeagle house has enstablished a new dynasty with the largest dwarven community within the lands of the dynasty, The Goldseeker clan. Both the Ferian Family and The Wallyword clan did not support the creation of this new dynasty. However, the Greyeagle house had carefully planned all announcements and had spread the word claiming the support of all clans. The other dynasties could not back out without losing face and thus the new dynasty was added to the ruling body of the country. This move has created much tension between the families.
