Fer, Ruler of Night
Ruler of the night is a hard to grasp title for the residents of Elium. Some believe Fer is a monstrous creature that will eat you if you are out and about in the night. Others look to Fer as a welcome companion, that guards and protects when you are at your most vulnerable. In some stories Fer is pitted in a fierce battle with Linessia as the forces of good and evil fighting for control over day and night cycle.
Appearance
Fer appears as a half elf, half human with shoulder length brown hair. She wears a short loosely fitted navy blue/black dress and simple black sandals that wrap around her ankles. During the night she moves without making any audible sound and never seems to actually touch the face of whatever she is standing on.
Demeanor
Fer is a curious personality with multiple faces. She both helps and annoys people for her own pleasure, calling it lessons. If the right moods strikes her or she feels like you've earned it, she'll "teach" you something you want, for example the safe path home on a dark night. If you fall on the other side of the coin she'll teach you a lesson for her own enjoyment and watches the reaction.
Home
Fer resides on the beastlands and like most inhabitants of the plane, has no permanent residence. She sleeps in hiding during the day in a modest magically packable house. Once the night falls she stalks the forest at night for anyone that that needs a "lesson".
Symbolism
The symbol associated with Fer is a crescent moon that is pierced by a dagger.
