Mechanics & Inner Workings
The Roasted Battle Axe, forged from Mithral, a rare silver like alloy, bypasses the damage reduction of creatures that are vulnerable to silver, making it particularly powerful against many undead and supernatural adversaries. When a command word is spoken, the axe ignites with magical flames, causing additional fire damage with each swing while also conveniently roasting the garlic contained within.
However, the protecting garlic fragrance lasts for around an hour following activation. The flames, on the other hand, remain active until the command phrase is repeated, which returns the axe to its dormant state.
