Structure

Deepfin Novices (Recruits & Trainees)

Welcome, you are now the new player in the depths of the ocean. Your journey commences now as you will learn the secrets of espionage, survival, and the delicate dance of elimination. You will engage in tasks that support your comrades at headquarters and contribute to smaller operations. Your main role will involve collecting information while creating diversions and securing samples. If you navigate through all three seasons, you'll qualify for the test where you given a job awaits you, and the outcome hinges solely on your skills.
You will be issued a basic spears but infused with a tracking enchantment to locate the base and able to change size.

Mirage Troope (Spies & Agents)

You are now officially a full member of the Prism Vail. You've acquired the skill of gliding through the depths, leaving no trace behind. Charming your way in and getting the information you require. You now have the requisite abilities and have been given the opportunity to acquire a Shimmery crab and work closely with it. As long as you're in this organization, you'll always have a partner who hopes you outperform your responsibilities. Prepare for a range of covert activities with your team, aiding your superiors from the shadows. You have been allowed total access to your job's arsenal. Fully prepared with your trusted buddy, go forth to protect the Kingdom from all unknown secrets of the depths.
Your spears will be upgraded to create light and miner illusions.

Phantom Tide (Elite Agents)

Congratulations! You've been promoted to seasoned agent. In your new post, you will either manage a team or oversee a specific area, ensuring that all agents have the resources they require to complete their objectives. If you are assigned to a team, your responsibility is to increase their performance, keep them undiscovered, and assure successful operations. If you are in charge of a certain area, you will serve as a regional leader, dealing with paperwork, media relations, and government relationships. By this point, you've honed your skills as an excellent intelligence agent, master thinker, and lethal operative.
Your spears will be upgraded to be able some bigger illusions and can leave invisible marks detectable only by Prisma Veil know how to see.

Veilmaster (Leader)

Welcome to the the top. You now have access to all of the secrets and are aware of the upcoming challenges. It is your responsibility to arrange and assign missions, ensuring that agents do their assignments efficiently. You are also in charge of informing the King or Queen of Thalmyris about vital happenings and urgent affairs, as a significant member of their inner circle. Additionally, you must provide the kingdom with critical intelligence on its foes, both at sea and on land. You have collected a wealth of information, ranging from politics to espionage to the subtle web of daily lies. Your experience should include insights from all swim of life, making you a valuable asset in the field.

Public Agenda

The populace believes they are an elite force of the kingdom's army that specializes in combat with the Shimmery Crabs. To most, they resemble a reconnaissance unit or a tactical strike team, flanking foes and doing heavy damage.

However, outside of the public sight, they act as the King and Queen's covert spy agency. Their true duty is to protect the kingdom's secrets, exploit its adversaries' weaknesses, and identify any prospective dangers. They are responsible for dealing with both internal and external, safeguarding the kingdom's security from within and beyond its sphere.

Standard Issue Equipment

Every agent is given a Spear of Prisma, which is a versatile weapon that evolves as they advance in their career. Some will receive conventional enhancements, while others may have their spears customized for specific combat or utility reasons. However, all spears have two basic abilities: a built-in tracking spell that will locate the base and the capacity to change their size, allowing them to extend or shrink as needed. These items serve as an agent’s proof of identity and rank. Losing them is a grave offense—one that could bring severe consequences. Pray to Mizu that it never happens, for such a mistake is strictly against their code.

Vibrational Gloves with Echo Shell
When these magical gloves are snapped, they release sonic waves that bounce off objects before returning to the Echo Shell, which converts the vibrations into a mental image of the surroundings. This enables agents to identify hidden opponents, underground tunnels, and submerged monsters hiding nearby.

Infiltration Toolkit
A small set of tools for breaking or dismantling locks and minor barriers, useful for covert operations.

Jet Steam Blow Dart Gun.
A high-tech, streamlined dart gun that can fire a dart that will glide over water unhindered by most currents and has an effective range of up to 62 feet.

Dart Variants:
  • Sleepy Dart - Causes unconsciousness for several hours.
  • Jelly Dart - Causes severe pain, similar to burning nerves.
  • Wave Dart - Generates a vibration in the water that mimics the movement of a creature or enemy.
  • Sound Dart - Emits an audible noise that mimics movement or emits inaudible frequencies that confuse adjacent organisms. (Only works underwater).
Levia spectacles
These special spectacles improve agents' vision by detecting and revealing magical forces and illusions. One lens detects all types of magical energy, while the other is specifically meant to reveal hidden or camouflaged beings. These spectacles are only available to high-ranking operatives and must be specifically requested.

Animal companions

Shimmery Crab

When a Deepfin Novices is promoted to Mirage Troope , they are assigned a Shimmery Crab, a highly specialized companion raises by the agency for espionage, battle, and other clandestine missions. Shimmery Crabs make diverse and important companions because of their magical talents, robust shell, and innate stealth. Their magic extends from providing distractions to improving stealth, allowing spies to move undetected through even the most perilous environments. Furthermore, their stinger contains a dangerous venom, making them deadly when necessary. These crabs are not just tools but lifesaving partners, capable of helping agents escape even the most dangerous situations. Know Agents respect and use your coworker properly.

Crimson Seekers Sharks

The agency has a team of Crimson Seeker Sharks, highly trained trackers capable of detecting chemical fingerprints and blood across enormous ocean distances. These amazing critters can lock onto any scent they come across, making them helpful for detecting prey. You've heard the expression "blood in the water attracts sharks"—these hunters take that instinct to the next level. If you require their assistance, please make a formal request through the appropriate procedures.

Base

Their stronghold is in the Channel, a mysterious length of water shrouded in shimmering mist that distorts all senses—visual, electromagnetic, and even tactile. Simply being in the Channel produces a deep, disturbing sense, making it a great natural deterrent to intruders.   The main base is constructed inside a massive underwater cave concealed deep within this creepy corridor. Despite its secret, the base is large and well-equipped, with pools for breeding Shimmery Crabs and Crimson Seeker Sharks, as well as training grounds, living quarters, and mission planning areas for agents.   While this is their primary headquarters, the agency has smaller covert outposts throughout the kingdom. Some are discreetly absorbed into the royal army, while others remain hidden in large cities, ensuring their existence is undiscovered.
