Night Flame Heart

If its twin is ever discovered and reunited with it, their combined ability will be greatly enhanced. The black scales and horn come out it, mimic the dragon from which this heart was extracted, and the deep red jewel in the center is thought to represent a part of the dragon's very heart.

History
A young black dragon was found by what is called black Scale Tribe. This was an Ifrit tribe of old. The current Chief Took the young dragon in and raised it alongside his son. The sun and the chief had formed a link with the strong dragon Night Flame. Night Flame has been protecting the tribe alongside each Chief for centuries. For 900 years, the tribe thrived and prospered. That was until two opposing Ifrit tribes became envious and demanded the dragon's remains. They launched an attack, hoping to seize Night Flame.
The battle was ferocious and filled of valor, but the odds were against them. Even with Night Flame flying overhead, giving aerial support, the invaders were too numerous. They had enchanted wind-powered ballistae that allowed them to attack with greater force and speed. Night Flame was taken down, and the Chief, Amadeus, was charged to his night flame defending him. He defeated several opponents but was severely injured beside the near dead dragon.
As the attackers closed in, Amadeus and Night Flame sensed the end was near and prepared to make their final stand. However, Night Flame did something unexpected. With a great roar, the dragon sank his claws into his own chest, pulling out his heart and casting a powerful enchantment.
Amadeus felt something around his neck and his body began to shift. A big, heart-shaped amulet wrapped in black scales resembling those of Night Flame rested against his breast. As Night Flame's power raced through him, his skin darkened and turned black, becoming scales. Black flames erupted from his flesh, as his body began to heal from his mortal wounds.
Amadeus unleashed a powerful volley of blows, moving like a black flame across the battlefield and effortlessly slashing through foes. His body regenerated while he fought, repairing new wounds in real time. The flames around him made him nearly impossible to touch, scorching anyone who got too close. Even wind-based attacks failed to deter him as he ducked and charged, saving what remained of the tribe.
Following the battle, Amadeus buried Night Flame and the others in the mountain to pay his final respects. With Night Flame's power still running through him, Amadeus knew he couldn't handle it alone. He divided the dragon's strength given to his offspring and send them opposite corners of the planet, hoping that the legacy might carry on one day.

Significance
When activated, the half hart amulet emits a black flame that surrounds the wearer's body. Wounds begin to heal gradually as the fire mends the body. The wearer's muscles begin to warm up, increasing their speed and strength. This increases mobility and agility, making physical tasks and battle easier. Furthermore, any living thing that approaches too close will experience the severe burn of the black flame, resulting in excruciating burns upon contact.
If both amulets are activated simultaneously, the wearer's wounds regenerate before their eyes and heal quickly. Black scales begin to form randomly across the body, toughening the skin. Heat radiates inward, increasing muscle strength and speed, allowing the wearer to exert incredible force. At this point, a punch could be powerful enough to strike a dragon. The body is engulfed in black flames, causing terrible damage to anything that approaches while providing additional protection and strength.
