It is extremely difficult to transverse over the mountain so most go around it or pay for passage through the dwarf and Kingdom of Thur Maldahr. There are very few safe passages is through the mountains, but a few Rangers and trail guides have found these paths and are willing to guide those willing to pay over its steep peaks. If you choose to go through the mountain there are many tunnels that are naturally and dwarven-made that can be used to go safely from one side to the other side of this mountain range. There is a dormant volcano named by the dwarves the glowing pinnacle, that is well alive under the surface. The dwarves used the power of the volcano and of the natural heat of the earth to power their machines.

Localized Phenomena

A local phenomenon found in the Ironcano Summit is the odd occurrences of random rifts. These rifts are gateways to another plane. Only brave adventurers would ever think about exploring these rifts to see where they lead. Some creatures do wander out of this area, the most common is known locally as Magma elementals. One of the first adventurers that bravely entered the rift was known as Sir Philipp Pumphrey. Sir Pumphrey was a knight of a local human Kingdom of Megatin. In his journals, he recounts the tale of traversing from our plane to another. The other plane is one of fire in brimstone and the smell of sulfur. After many weeks in the other plane, Sir Pumphery realized that this is not the fire plane known as Sol, that he has explored once before a completely different one.
