Hydraulic Push
Hydraulic Push, Gust Push, and similar variants are spells that use elemental energy in a non-lethal way to forcefully move people or objects aside. These spells are commonly used to control the battlefield rather than cause harm.
One of their most practical uses is dealing with natural fires, extinguishing flames or pushing burning material away to prevent something or someone from continuing to burn. Adventurers and protectors also rely on these spells to quickly knock enemies off balance, buying allies a crucial moment to reposition, escape, or press an advantage. In some cases, the force can be enough to knock a foe back, allowing time to flee rather than fight.
At its core, the spell releases a sudden elemental surge designed to displace, interrupt, or repel. This brief moment of disruption gives the caster or their allies time to react, move out of danger, or escape ongoing threats such as fire or collapsing terrain. It has also been used defensively to keep enemies, creatures, or hazardous objects at bay for a short time.
Use these spells wisely, young mages these are only a few of their most common applications.
Effect
You call forth a sudden blast of water that knocks over and soaks one creature or object within range. This blast may be used to perform a bull rush against a single creature or unattended object.
Your CMB for this bull rush is equal to your caster level plus your Intelligence, Wisdom, or Charisma modifier (whichever is highest). This bull rush does not provoke attacks of opportunity.
On a successful bull rush, the target is pushed back 5 feet.
Hydraulic Push also extinguishes any normal, non-magical fires affecting the target creature, object, or a single 5-foot square. Magical fires are unaffected.
