Empress Tamamo the Dark Nine Tail Myth in Elema | World Anvil

Empress Tamamo the Dark Nine Tail

One of the most formidable, terrifying, and clever Foxfolk to have ever walked on Elema was Empress Tamamo Duckweed. She was in charge of the region to the southwest of Japstion. She formerly controlled the territories that are known today as a number of kingdoms. She was renowned for her grace, beauty, and cruelty.

That information regarding her early life is scarce. Her marriage to Emprie Zhoul Shangy, the ruler of the Shangy Dynasty, is the first authentic account of her existence. She had made him fall for her playful and seductive charm.

She had a reputation as Empress for having excellent leadership, intelligence, and the ability to mobilize the military. She also does not tolerate failure and is willing to torture people as punishment. It was rumored that she liked it.

Over time, the Empire established itself and grew stronger. The Empire was appreciative of the iron rule of the Emperor and Empress as well as their astute judgment. They expanded and overcame other kingdoms. Up until the demise of their Emperor Shangy, the Kingdom experienced enormous prosperity for 60 years. Everyone was saddened by his death from old age, but they still had their Empress Tamamo. She was only 750 years old at the time and might have lived up to 1000 a Foxfolk can.

After the funeral, the Empress's form of government shifted more toward military dominance as she took power. She began displaying her genuine self in the open. There were whispers about her experiments, nasty demeanor, and love of torturing people. She transformed her culture into what she considered would ultimately be a superpower.

She developed academic institutions and study areas for both magical and technology subjects. With a heavy emphasis on studying all life forms. Any kind of experiment was willing to be covered, and she even sent one to the royal schools because she wanted to outperform it. New poisons, magical improvements, and other biological studies are covered in some of these experiments. Even prisoners served as test subjects for these studies.

The prisoner may have been voluntarily in the early years of her reign but in the later, all were used. Depending on the experiment and what was gained. Would tell how much time was taken out of their sentence. If you were given the death penalty, you would have to participate in some remarkable experiments that would drive you insane and eventually kill you. Your deceased body will still be used to obtain the answers and used for more experiments. The situation was worse for prisoners of war because they were forced to participate in a variety of gruesome and odd experiments. Furthermore, if you are a leader of any kind, you will be transported to Empress Tamamo, where she will force you to wish for your demise.

The military's might and power increased by leaps and bounds as a result of these experiments. As well as new ways to obliterate cities and communities. The brutality and cruelty of military training increased as it was always expected to produce results. In just 50 years, their army developed into one of the most formidable on the planet.

Three distinct factions made up the society. First is a noble faction with a love to adore and respect the authority that came from the empress's methods. They became like her or if they would disagree with her. She would have taken them to her personal dungeon with the rest of her toys if they hadn't. Whipping, stocks, the pillory, branding, or the amputation of a body part were the light of what took place down there. She even used magic to play tricks on their mind. One of her favorite games was to change our perceptions such that pleasure appeared to be painful and vice versa. She enjoyed destroying her toys and torturing her as they asked her to give them more.

Next, were the military factions and the resource groups. They are regarded as a valuable member of society. To the other citizens, you are free to do as you like and have power over them. As long as you performed your duties and delivered output. The Noble and Empress are pleased by that. If you fail or deliver poor results, you might discover that the next experiment or toy is you.

Last and least, were normal citizens. They were treated like animals rather than as sentient beings. If you didn't enlist in the military, enroll in college, or complete a research project, then these people have to remain in fear for the rest of their lives. The terror of not knowing what might happen to you or the people you care about. You are the only thing keeping you from being subjected to experimentation as long as you abided by the law and follow whatever some rank or status asks. What they ask could be bad but not bad as a prisoner.

This was the norm, and it would remain thus for the next 149 years. Yes, assassination attempts were made against Empress Tamamo. Some people came very close to killing her. She appears to be able to deal with most adversaries because of her magic and physical training. She apprehended most of her would-be assassins. Depending on how they intend to murder her. She reciprocated in kind, albeit in a more gradual manner. She would heal those who she wanted to last longer and start the torture all over.

Well, the kingdoms of the continent Japstion began to fear that her power and Reign were growing too large, and she wasn't slowing down, as she began to treat the tiniest cities and kingdoms as if they were nothing. As a result, the surviving kingdoms decided to launch an attack, and because she was spread over the nation, they were able to begin restoring land.

On Empress Tamamo's 900th birthday, they had arrived at her sensual power. She just became a Foxfolk with 9 tails making her a Kyubi. With soldiers surrounding her palace on all sides. She used some kind of magic to transform into a massive 9-tailed fox beast. This beast's power was comparable to fighting an ancient dragon. She wields tremendous power over both adversaries and allies. She destroys everything in her way. For several days, it appeared that stopping her would be impossible. She only created an enemy of her own Kingdom, giving the alliance a new power boost. It took several days, but with everyone's cooperation, they were able to defeat Empress Tamamo.

According to history, she was destroyed and her empire was dissolved into various new kingdoms or adapted into others. There are stories and myth that Empress Tamamo escaped and are still alive someplace on Elema or in the metaphysical realm. As a result, she escaped via a gate. Who know what happen to the old fox?
