The Quiet of Desire

Describe a building in your world is used for leisure pursuits? What does it look like, and what do people do there?
"Truly a debaucherous den of sin, spitting in the face of Her Grace, Hand of the Sun, Mother of All. The Golden Lady weeps knowing such places exist." - Highpriest Addem, Church of Agaland
The Quiet of Desire is a whorehouse catering to the citizens of Agaland by invite. Patrons are heavily vetted before being extended an invitation to keep secret from those who would work to destroy it. Nestled in a nation that looks unfavorably at sexual activity, it is a safe house for those who are not 'traditionally attracted'. The Quiet of Desire features sex workers of many races, genders, and ages.

Purpose / Function

The building for The Quiet Desire is hidden in the outskirts of the Agaland capitol, disguised as a small village approximately 20 miles to the east. The village itself hosts the workers and their families, functioning fully like any other town. The activities of The Quiet Desire occur below ground in a complex network of interconnected sub basements, rumored to once have been an old dwarven storehouse or outpost.

Alterations

Walls have been added to larger rooms, creating halls and rooms in which clients can be entertained. The warehouse is divided into a common area, well decorated and maintained at the northern end of the sub basement, then divided into two halls totalling out to sixteen rooms for clients to be entertained. Basements above the sub basement access a small network of tunnels that lead to the halls.

Architecture

The base architecture of the compound is comprised of Ancient Dwarven design; blocky geometric shapes with runes carved in patterns along the walls. The new walls are built of thick stone and mortar, distinctly modern human designs. The basements are dug out and lined with stone, while the tunnels spanning down to the subbasement are dwarven make. The housing above ground is modern architecture of wooden skeletons, local material walls (timber, mud, reeds, stone, etc), and thatched roofing.

History

The warehouse substructure and tunnels were built during the Reign of Scale, suspected to be a warehouse. It was empty when discovered in 1023 EM. A small village was erected over the tunnels with basements installed above them and dwarven masons contracted to connect the basement with the tunnels and subbasement as a means of shelter during dangerous situations. The residents of the village utilized the subspace several times through the years, but ultimately the village was abandoned in 1191 after a raiding party destroyed their homes and means of living.    The abandoned village was re-settled in 1214 by brothel owner Vivera Nedrick, who commissioned it to be rebuilt. She established a second brothel, masked as a village. The business has thrived over the last twenty-two years, allowing only select clientele to indulge in all manners of illicit activities in safety and anonymity.

Tourism

The village offers a luxurious inn to travelers with modest prices, but little in way of reasons to stay long. It is designed to be a 'passing through' village, though they attract very wealthy and distinct merchants who are in on the scheme. If you are among the select clientele, there is a small black market available monthly in the commons of the brothel, but many stay for the activities below ground. Clientele are selected based on trustworthiness and the ability to blackmail them. They don't seem to mind, given they get to indulge in various activities, such as homosexual relationships, black marketing, drugs, etc.
